Munroe recalled to Windies squad for tour of Australia

JOHN’S, Antigua, CMC- Guyanese fast bowler Subrina Munroe has been recalled to the West Indies Women’s squad for a tour of Australia starting later this month.

Munroe, 29, has been included on a 14 member squad which plays four Twenty20 Internationals and four One-day Internationals, the first three of which will count towards the ICC Women’s Championship.

She is the only player on the squad who did not represent the regional side in the just-concluded home series against New Zealand Women.

Munroe last played for West Indies Women in ODI against New Zealand in February this year and last played a T20 International against Sri Lanka in March last year.

The IWC is a multi-year, bilateral competition between the top eight international women’s sides that will lead to qualification for the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup to be hosted by the England & Wales Cricket Board.

The squad is set to depart from Barbados on Tuesday, October 14, arriving three days later in Sydney, where they will begin a 10-day training camp.
