The President’s College Tennis Court is the first to be completed. Ganga also said that Nasir was passionate about providing healthy activities for youth engagement and as such Bakewell will work towards improving the tournament next year.

In her remarks, President of the GLTA Grace McCalman expressed appreciation to Ganga for his interest in developing the sport at the grass-roots. The tournament was also used in preparation for the Inter-Guiana Games (IGG).

Tournament coordinator Shelly Daly-Ramdyhan reported that 24 players entered the competition which saw 72 games being played. She also remarked on the significance of the tournament in honour of Nasir whom she referred to as a personal friend who had supported her over the years.
