Normalisation Committee begins process to determine yearend tournament

Guyana Football Feder-ation (GFF) Normalisation Committee Chairman Clinton Urling yesterday said that the process to decide which yearend tourney will be played has already begun and that a decision will be made following the completion of the assessments.

Speaking exclusively to Stabroek Sports the FIFA appointed chairman said: “The assessment process has already begun as it relates to year-end tournaments and decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis once those assessments are completed.”

Asked what will be the criteria utilised by the body to make the respective decisions, he said: “The criteria include a number of prerequisites, which will be communicated to all applicants, and once those are met, the committee will further deliberate and make a final decision.”

Questioned when the committee will begin the process of meeting the GFF affiliates, Urling said: “The committee is in the process of designing its work plan in conjunction with FIFA to organize all interactions with stakeholders.

“The committee has already started meeting with affiliates and other important football stakeholders. This will be an ongoing process until the end of our mandate in September 2015,” added Urling.
