Pepsi Sonics Basketball Club’s Open U-23 Five-a-Side tourney and three-point shooting contest will commence today from 11:00hrs at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.
The events, which are open to any individual, will be played for over $100,000 in cash and prizes. Winners of the team section will receive $50,000 while the runners-up will walk away with $35,000. The eventual third place finishers will pocket $20,000.
In the three-point shooting contest, the winner will collect $10,000. More than one team can be registered by all participating clubs and institutions while the registration fee for the team event will be $4000 per team.
The deadline for registration for both events is before the commencement of the events.
