Police launch community project at Itaballi

In keeping with the Police Force’s Social Crime Prevention Initiative which is on stream in all the Police Divisions with particular focus on youths of the various communities, and which is also aimed at strengthening police community relationship, the Police “F” Division (Interior Locations) launched a three-week community project at Itaballi, Mazaruni, a release from the police said today.

The People’s Progressive Party on Monday blasted the government’s decision to appoint Dr Clive Thomas as Chairman of the Guyana Sugar Corporation citing his tenure at the Globe Trust and Investment Company Limited which eventually had to be liquidated leaving many depositors with just a fraction of their savings.
