Wade elected president of NAWF

Charmaine Wade was elected the President of the National Association for Women’s Football (NAWF) when the entity staged its electoral congress on Tuesday ahead of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Congress on November 14th.

Held at the office of Normalization Committee Chairman Clinton Urling, Wade was elected unopposed to the top post after being nominated by Eagles United FC. She replaces previous head Vanessa Dickenson and will now lead an executive which will feature first and second Vice Presidents Lennox Dams and Akilah Castello respectively, Secretary Andrea Hall, Assistant Secretary Tricia Munroe, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Magzine Stewart, Treasurer Denneze Lovell and Committee Members Allana Chappell, Lawrence Griffith and Winston Forde.

Attending the electoral congress from the GFF were Chairman Urling, General Secretary Diedre Davis, recently appointed Assistant General Secretary Meron Jones and Director of Communications and Sponsorship Rawle Toney. Vergenoegen Elite Club Slingerz FC will stage their election on Saturday.
