Upholsterer gets bail after denying fraud charge

An upholsterer is being accused of fraudulently converting money entrusted to him for the purchase of building supplies.
But Sherwin Prince, 40, of 133 La Parfaite Harmonie Housing Scheme, denied the charge when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts yesterday.
The charge states that between March 1 and March 31, 2014, being solely entrusted with $150,000 to purchase building materials, Prince fraudulently converted the money to his own use and benefit. The money was the property of Troy Harris.
