Cops probing Windsor Estates home invasion

The police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred last Friday at a home at Windsor Estates, on the East Bank Demerara.

According to reports, about five men entered the gated community despite tight security and ransacked a home.

When Stabroek News visited Windsor Estates, it was not allowed to enter the compound and the security in charge of the community was unavailable for comment.

According to Crime Chief Leslie James, the only person present in the home when the robbery occurred was a babysitter.

The robbers ransacked the house and made good their escape with their booty. This newspaper was unable to ascertain the value of the items that was stolen.

James said no one has been arrested yet but the investigations are ongoing.
