The police say that investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 1600h. yesterday at 65 Km, Buck Hall Road, Essequibo, and which resulted in the death of Junior Assanah, 25 years, of Bare Root, ECD.
Investigations, police say, have revealed that Assanah was a passenger in a motor vehicle that was allegedly being driven at a fast rate. The driver lost control of the vehicle which turned turtle and resulted in injuries to the occupants.
Assanah was taken to the Suddie Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
