A man is currently at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) Burn Care Unit after he was burned about his body early Monday morning.
This newspaper understands that Charles ‘Junior’ Allen of Bel Air Village, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was on duty at his work place located in Herstelling, East Bank Demerara (EBD) when a loud explosion was heard.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear. He was immediately rushed to the hospital after the incident where he remains a patient in a stable condition. His family declined to speak on the matter.
