A man was yesterday released on $100,000 bail after he denied an assault charge in a city court.
Collis Wills pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on December 15, at Stone Hill Landing, Cuyuni, he unlawfully and maliciously assaulted Godfrey Grant, to cause him actual bodily harm.
Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry granted $100,000 bail to Wills and the case was transferred to the Bartica Magistrate’s Court, where it will be called on April 5.
