Market vendor gets self-bail on loitering charge

A Stabroek Market vendor was yesterday granted self-bail after he denied a loitering charge.

Romaine Class, 33, of Lot 27 Good Intent, West Bank Demerara, was read the charge before Magistrate Annette Singh in a city court. Class was arrested on Wednesday, March 4th, after he was allegedly unable to give a reason for his presence around the Stabroek Market area when questioned by a constable attached to the City Constabulary.

Class is expected to return to court on April 14th for trial.
