Seven weapons stolen from Regent St office

At about 0200h today, police say that three men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, broke into the National Credit Union building at Regent and Oronoque streets, Georgetown, and torched a safe and took away one . 32 pistol, one .32 revolver and five 12 gauge shotguns along with 45 cartridges.

The unarmed watchman on duty at the compound was confronted and tied up by the perpetrators during the incident, police say.

Investigations are in progress.
