Massy Industries introduces new line of heavy-duty equipment

Massy Industries (Guyana) Limited and New Holland Construction (NHC) on Friday introduced a new line of its construction equipment to Guyana operators in the construction, mining and agriculture industries at the Massy Industries Compound at Ruimveldt.

Stakeholders were given first-hand information about the equipment and were treated to an exhibition of the equipment during their interaction with officials from Massy Industries and the US-based NHC, a press statement from the company said. The range of equipment includes the NHC E 215C Excavator, regarded as the workhorse of the production line as well as 10 models of Skid Steers, both wheel and track with lifting capacities ranging from 1300-2300 lbs, Backhoe Loaders up to 110 horse power, Wheel Loaders with buckets up to 4.5 cubic metres, Motor Grader ranging from 160-213 horse power with blade sizes from 12’-14-, Dozers and Telehandlers.

Rohit Coonjah, Director of Massy Industries said “All the equipment have the common characteristics of advanced technology, being of the highest standards of design and manufacturing quality, economical to operate and meet the highest safety standards.” He also said the company sold a few of the heavy duty machines on the spot.

Massy Industries Chairman Deo Persaud was high in praise of the partnership with NHC which has over 62 plants worldwide, about 71,000 employees and annual revenue exceeding US$34 million.

The chairman also explained that via the Massy “eco-system” customers can secure financing for capital goods purchased, buy accessories and spares and get coverage for warranty and servicing at the same location.

NHC started operations over 120 years ago when a one-man repair shop opened its doors in New Holland, Pennsylvania, USA.
