A construction worker was fined yesterday after admitting to having a gramme of cannabis in his possession.
Carlton Burnett, of Fourth Bridge, Diamond Housing Scheme and explained that he smokes the illegal substance because it is his “spiritual supplement.”
Burnett was fined $3,000 and was given seven days to pay the fine. He was also ordered by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry to perform six months of community service, beginning April 21.
