Third man held over dismembered Buxton woman

A third man has been held in connection with the investigations into the murder of Samantha Benjamin, whose dismembered body was found at the Annandale foreshore last Thursday.

Crime Chief Leslie James indicated that Benjamin’s estranged husband remains in custody along with her employee.

Stabroek News was reliably informed that another man who was paid by Benjamin’s employee has been held by police and is being questioned since the employee identified him as the person he paid to dump the woman’s remains at the foreshore.

Benjamin’s dismembered body was found at the Annandale foreshore; the head and limbs of the woman were found after the water receded.

After relatives had realised that she was missing, a search resulted in them finding her locked house with suspicious blood stains and later identified her body at the morgue.

Benjamin had remigrated from the United States in August last to establish a business in Guyana.
