At about 0330h. today, the police say that fisherman Ganesh Vishwanauth of Grove, EBD, was at the Meadow Bank Wharf when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
The men demanded cash and Vishwanauth resisted and was shot to his buttocks. The perpetrators took away $240, 000 and escaped.
Vishwanauth has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
