The police say that investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 2230h. last night at Montrose Public Road, ECD, and which resulted in the death of Arif Williams, 22 years, of Triumph, ECD.
Investigations have revealed, police say, that Williams was driving a motor car, allegedly at a fast rate, when he reportedly swerved from a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road and the vehicle toppled.
The vehicle struck the guard hut of a residence resulting in injuries to security guard Mahendranauth Krishram, 52 years, of Atlantic Gardens, ECD.
Williams and Ashley Singh 19 years, of LBI, ECD, who was in the vehicle, suffered injuries and were taken to the GPHC where Williams was pronounced dead on arrival.
Singh, has been admitted to hospital while Krishram was treated and sent away.
