An off-duty policeman was shot and injured yesterday after a rank’s gun accidently fired off during a scuffle with two men accused of thieving.

Police Constable Nathaniel Giddings was shot and injured to his left shoulder after a round was accidently discharged by an armed policeman. The shooting occurred at Greenheart Street, Linden.
