John and Morrison are accused of abducting Waaldijk on May 4th, 2015, at Regent Street.

The prosecution’s case is that Waaldijk was walking across Regent Street, heading towards Bhena’s Footwear, when he was approached by an identifiable man, who subsequently pushed him into a vehicle and sped off.

CCTV footage was reviewed by the police and John was allegedly identified. He was later arrested and charged along with Morrison.

The prosecution noted that Waaldijk was released prior to the arrest of John and Morrison.

Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry placed John and Morrison on $500,000 bail each. Their next court date is June 5th, 2015.
