The Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) has extended congratulations to the Guyanese public for their orderly Election Day conduct.
According to a CIOG press release, it offers “congratulations to the Guyanese people for the peaceful and orderly way in which they exercised their franchise on Election Day.” “We further request all parties and their leaders to be magnanimous in accepting the final result as announced by GECOM [Guyana Election Commission] and advise their supporters accordingly.”
“Let us all be cognizant that we have to look forward to the future to work together in peace and harmony for the success of our families and our country.” CIOG said.
