A man was sentenced to prison yesterday after being found guilty of armed robbery. Paul Rodney had pleaded not guilty at the Providence Magistrate’s Court when the charge was read, which stated that on November, 23, 2014, at Friendship, East Bank Demerara, while armed with a gun, he robbed Desmond Singh of $350,000.
Rodney’s trial was ongoing and it concluded yesterday. Rodney was sentenced to 9 months in prison by Magistrate Leron Daly.
