Duo remanded over alleged attempt to break into car

Two men who attempted to break and enter a parked car in Georgetown were yesterday remanded to prison after a city court heard that their attempt was foiled when police pounced on them.

It was alleged that on June 25, at the Kingston Seawall in Georgetown, Albert De Freitas, 51, a fisherman, of Lot 100 Leopold Street and Oalin Yansen, 24, a sign artist of Albouystown attempted to break and enter motor car PMM 4105, belonging to Vindrowatie Ganesh.

They both pleaded not guilty.
