Four persons fined $130,000 for littering

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has continued to flag persons who flout the anti-littering laws and has recently recorded four victories against offenders who have been ordered to pay fines amounting to a total of $130,000.

During the first two weeks of the month, the EPA made four successful cases against persons who committed littering offences in April. Kenny Rogers Persaud of Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was charged and fined $50,000 for illegally dumping domestic waste at Enterprise, ECD. Richard Anthony Mars,
