Granger to address Parliament tomorrow

President David Granger will be attending Parliament tomorrow at 14:45hrs, where he will address the National Assembly, Parliament Office said today.

The business of the Sitting will be suspended at 14:45 to accommodate the arrival of the President and resume after his address.

The President usually addresses the opening session of parliament which he did on June 10 but it is unusual for other addresses to be made unless it is a matter of grave national importance. It has been suggested that Granger will comprehensively address the maritime decree which was issued on May 26 by Venezuela and which has roiled relations between Guyana and its western neighbour.
