The trial of Deochand Ramlall, who is charged with raping a 12-year-old, ended in a hung jury last Friday.
As a result, Ramlall will have to face a new trial.
Ramlall, also called Nasho, appeared before Justice Jo-Ann Barlow in the High Court in Georgetown, on the charge that on March 20th, 2013 he sexually penetrated a 12-year-old child.
Ramlall has denied the indictment.
The proceedings were held in-camera.
