According to a release from the Government Infor-mation Agency (GINA), Minister within the Ministry of Communities Dawn Hastings-Williams said regional administrations have already been advised to earmark allocations for building upgrades in their 2016 budgets. She noted that while renovations and maintenance to regional buildings are standard features of the annual budget, the work will go beyond routine cosmetic repairs.

Hastings-Williams said that over the years the buildings had become so dilapidated, they acted as a deterrent for workers assigned to the regions. She promised that the administration will ensure the comfort of their workers, regardless the cost, since it is crucial to encourage trained teachers and doctors to serve in the regions.
