A man is now dead and another hospitalised after a late night collision on the public road at Ogle, East Coast Demerara on Sunday.
While the particulars of the incident are still unclear, Stabroek News understands that Devon Marcus, 35, was riding a motorcycle along the road when a vehicle collided with him and a pedal cyclist. The driver of the vehicle sped away.
The two men were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital. The pedal cyclist, who is still unidentified, was pronounced dead on arrival. Marcus is admitted a patient at the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that collided with the two men is yet to be found.
