It was stated that Patrick Smith, 20, wounded Michael Ridley on October 23, at Independence Boulevard, Albouys-town. When Smith had the opportunity to plead, he denied the allegation.

According to Prosecutor Neville Jeffers, an incident had occurred between Smith and Ridley’s son prior to the altercation on October 23. Jeffers stated that on the day in question, Smith approached Ridley while armed with two knives and inflicted injuries on the man.

The victim has since been discharged from the hospital but was not present in court yesterday for the hearing.

Smith was remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan and is scheduled to return on November 16, when the matter will be recalled.
