Tomorrow, the Mash Secretariat has scheduled the launch of Mash 2016 outside of the Ministry of Education’s Department of Culture, Main Street and during which an unveiling of the logo will take place followed by a full programme of activities.

Music Unlimited, a local music ‘institution’ is scheduled to perform several Guyanese songs at the launch; in addition to which, the patrons will be treated to drumming, masquerade, dancing, storytelling, steel band renditions and performances by the calypso, chutney and soca monarchs.

Upon the completion of those, the Mash 2016 celebrations will climax with the children’s costume and float parade, Bright up Guyana, and steel band and masquerade competitions, GINA said.
