Rubis refurbishes workshops, donates to GTI

Rubis Guyana Inc donated mechanical engineer tool kits and coveralls, in addition to completing a full refurbishment of the workshops at the Government Technical Institute (GTI.)

According to a Rubis press release, one of the company’s goals is to support Guyana’s continued development of its youth through education.

In addition to the donations and refurbishment of the mechanical, metalwork, engineering and auto mechanics department, GTI will receive training from a Rubis and Total Lubricants specialist on the use and specifications of lubricants and various fuel types.

Further, the company will present the top mechanic and mechanist students with Rubis/Total Lubricants awards during the December graduation ceremony.

“We recognise,” Retail Accounts Executive at Rubis, Rhonda Johnson, said on her company’s behalf, “education is the singular factor that can catapult persons from one social stratum to another.” Further, she said, “Team Rubis is committed to giving back to Guyana and its citizens who continue to support our business with initiatives that will lead to the development of our human capital.”

Principal of GTI Carl Benn expressed gratitude to the company on behalf of the board of governors, administration and staff of the institution for the timely and invaluable donations.

Rubis is the official distributor of Total Lubricants in Guyana.
