About 0345h. today, the police say that Patrick Ross, 57 years, of Grove, EBD, was entering his premises when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
Ross raised an alarm and made an effort to get into his home during which he was shot to his abdomen and the two men ran away, the police said.
Ross has been admitted to hospital, as the investigations continue.
