A West Coast Berbice man who suffers from a hearing impairment was killed on the Rising Sun Public Road yesterday afternoon.
Dead is Shermon Harper, 41, a father of two of Seafield Village, West Coast Berbice.
Details surrounding the death of Harper are still to be established. However, reports have indicated that Harper was on the eastern side of the road when a motor vehicle travelling on the western side of the road collided with him. The accident resulted in severe injuries which led to his death.
A relative said that Harper was pushing a bicycle on the public road when he was apparently struck down by a white motor vehicle.
Harper was pronounced dead on arrival at the Fort Wellington hospital.
The man leaves to mourn his wife, two sons and other relatives and friends.
