Solomon, 35, of Line Path, Skeldon and Nurney, Corentyne was working in the interior with Bacchus International Gold Mines when he was fatally attacked.
It was initially reported that he was attacked by two men.
His common-law wife, Alisha Ross, had said that after the attack, the wounded Solomon was airlifted to the Bartica Public Hospital and later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
A post-mortem examination performed by Pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh found that Solomon died from a punctured lung.
