Balram Singh was this afternoon sentenced to 80 years in jail after a 12-member jury found him guilty of murdering taxi driver Bhomeshwar Sukhdeo.
The sentence was handed down by Justice Navindra Singh at the High Court in Georgetown.
The charge against the convict was that between January 19 and January 27, 2010, he murdered Sukhdeo.
