The management of Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) has launched an internal investigation into disruptions of the utility company’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) network.
According to a GWI statement, a scan conducted by GWI’s ICT Department discovered a ‘hidden wireless device’ connected to the network and efforts are presently being made to locate the source of the signal.
GWI undertook the scan after the ICT Department received an unusually high amount of complaints from internal users of the network at GWI’s Corporate Complex on Vlissengen Road and Church Street, Bel-Air Park, on November 4th. These complaints,
