A Dowding Street, Kitty woman was yesterday remanded to prison after she appeared before a city court for possession of cannabis for trafficking.
It was alleged that 40-year-old domestic worker Shelita Abdul, of Lot 33 Dowding Street, Kitty, on December 10th, at Mandela Avenue, had in her possession 200 grammes of cannabis for the trafficking.
The woman pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Abdul, who appeared before Magistrate Annette Singh, was remanded to prison until her next court hearing, which is set for January 4th.
