(Trinidad Express) A 17-year-old who was a State witness in a robbery in which he was the victim, was shot and killed outside his girlfriend’s house during another robbery on Tuesday night.
Kyle Montano, of Coora Road, Siparia, died at the scene from a single bullet wound.
Police were told that Montano went to his girlfriend’s house at George Street, Siparia on Tuesday, where she was celebrating her birthday with a party.
At around 9.30 pm he was standing outside the house when two men tried to steal his two gold chains. He was shot during the attempt.
Earlier this year, Montano was also robbed of a gold chain and a suspect was arrested. The case was ongoing at the Siparia Magistrates’ Court.
