At about 1930h on Saturday, the police say that Hafaz Ali, 24 years, along with two other men of Annandale, ECD, were in a shop at Annandale when they were held up by two men armed with a firearm and a chopper.
During the armed robbery, police say that Ali was shot to his right elbow.
A cell phone was taken from each of the victims by the perpetrators who then escaped.
The police said that Ali was treated at a hospital and sent away.
Investigations are in progress.
