PM urges more Guyanese to join army

Guyana needs every able-bodied person to defend its national security, and in this light, Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo is urging more Guyanese to join the army, GINA said.

Speaking with the media, at the Guyana Defence Force’s (GDF’s) 50thAnniversary Route March and Medal Cere-mony on Saturday at the Square of the Revolution, the PM said that the Force’s 50th anniversary is a good occasion to project to the world that there are Guyanese who love their country dearly, and are prepared to stand up and to join the ranks of the security and armed forces, in defence of its territorial integrity.
