Dear Editor,
Several, maybe all, erstwhile disgruntled residents/ taxpayers and customers of Guyana Water Inc living at Success village on the East Coast of Demerara and surroundings places, eg, Chateau Margot Pigeon Island, may have mentioned openly and perhaps tacitly about the clean, clear, pure water now pumped to their households for domestic use from the current pump situated at Success Village, ECD.
For years, maybe for over a decade, the pump at Success has been pumping dirty and reddish impure water to homes for domestic use, which may have been one of the contributory factors to the illnesses that have been plaguing residents, especially young children. Water which was even useless to wash with was for years the lot of beleaguered households in this village.
Congratulations to Guyana Water Inc! This must be a welcome encouragement for customers to pay their bills on time too.
