Traffic violations

Dear Editor,

I wish to comment on two aspects of traffic violation which seem to have been given the Nelson’s eye by motorists and the authorities. First, there’s parking at corners in a manner which causes users to literally inch their way to safety – a plea magistrates and traffic officers ironically would not accept.

The second breach is parking and reversing onto a public road. This is evident in many areas, especially Bagotstown by the traffic lights. Both the motorist reversing and moving traffic are unmindful of the impending danger.

This morning radio news mentioned the many traffic breaches, which is commendable, but none of the above.

Yours faithfully,
