In a letter in yesterday’s edition captioned ‘Why the long wait for birth, death and marriage certificates?’ it was stated, “The cost for one birth certificate just a year ago was $30 and now it’s $300, an increase of 100%…”
That should have read, “an increase of 900%”
Stabroek News regrets the error.
