I wish to commend GT&T management and crew for restoring landline services to the Bachelor’s Adventure/Melanie/Imax areas of the ECD.
This essential service was interrupted because of vandalism on at least three occasions in recent months, when several sections of the overhead distribution cable were stolen from along the Enterprise road north of the Embankment road.
This finally led to a decision by GT&T, after repairs following each incident, to bury the cable instead of placing it overhead.
Special commendation is extended to Mr Darren Crawford and crew who, throughout it all, provided excellent customer service by being open with measures being taken and who completed the exercise before the scheduled date.
The community must now protect this asset against further incidents.
