Committee should look again at charging for use of Anna Regina car park

Dear Editor,

I have noticed in the press recently that member of the National Assembly, Mr Bernard Rajkumar, representative for Region Two/Pomeroon-Supenaam suggested that a minimal fee be charged for using the Anna Regina car park. I am in support of this venture since the council is cash strapped and has to expend monies to maintain the surrounding environment. The suggestion was rejected by many. It was surprising to me and many others since the Park could be used to help financially to cover some of the expenses. I wish to urge the committee to once again re-examine this proposal, and look into some other means of bringing in more money to the council so as to help eliminate some of its burdens.

Yours faithfully,

Andrieko Basir
