Works have commenced on the widening of the West Coast Demerara road from Vreed-en-Hoop to Hydronie which is a project between the Government and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) valued at US$46.8M, GINA said.Geoffrey Vaughn, Coordinator of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure’s Works Services Group said that works have commenced from the Hydronie, East Bank Essequibo end.
