Barbados rugby team due Friday for NACRA 15s clash with Guyana

The Barbados rugby union has named its squad to contest Saturday’s NACRA 15s championship qualifier against Guyana at the National Park.

A release from the Guyana Rugby Football Union informed that the Barbados team will arrive Friday.

The match, which will be sponsored and branded by Banks DIH Limited, kicks off on Saturday at 15:00hrs.

After the national team opens their campaign on Saturday, the NACRA 15’s champions will then tackle Trinidad and Tobago in an away game on April 11.

Regional powerhouse Guyana has been unbeatable at home and away in both formats of the game last year.

Once the national outfit is victorious in the above encounters, they will play the winner of the Northern Zone for the overall NACRA 15s title in a home game on April 25.

The local outfit is scheduled to be named today.

Also on Saturday St Vincent and the Grenadines will play Curacao in Curacao; Turks and Caicos Islands will play Bermuda in Bermuda and the United States of America South will play Mexico in Mexico. All the matches are scheduled to commence at 3pm.
