The second annual `Ballers at the Beach’ football tournament will commence from 19:00hrs on Sunday on the shores behind the Guyana Softball Cricket Association ground, Carifesta Avenue.
The event which will be played utilizing a knockout format, will feature eight teams from various regions competing for over $300,000 in cash and prizes.
Defending champions Sparta Boss will lead the charge of the Georgetown based teams which will also consist of North Ruimveldt, West Front Road-Gold is Money, Albouystown and Tigerbay.
The West Demerara region will also be represented at the event in the form of Showstoppers and West Side Ballers while Melanie will carry the hopes of the East Coast of Demerara.
Winner of the tourney receiving $200,000 and the championship trophy. The runners-up will walk away with $100,000 and the corresponding accolade. Admission to the venue will be free of charge.
