Ramdhani wins boys U19 singles as curtain comes down on Trophy Stall tournament

National player Narayan Ramdhani defeated Jonathan Mangra on Saturday in the boys U19 final to bring the curtain down on the Guyana Badminton Association Trophy Stall annual age group singles tournament at the

Queen’s College badminton courts.

Ramdhani won 20-22, 21-13, 21-11.

Third place went to Hemraj Beharry who defeated Tyreese Jeffrey in a three setter: 21-19, 17-21, 15-21.

In the boys’ U13 B final, Tyeese Richards defeated Baoxiang Liu 21-15.

The Presentation was done by Jackie Benn (Headmistress of Queen’s College), Yuyin Liu of the Chinese Embassy, Lakshram Das of Bank of Baroda and Gillian Mangra of the GBA.

The tournament was sponsored exclusively by Trophy Stall and the GBA in a press release stated that they wanted to thank Ramesh Sunich for his sponsorship of the event.
