Director of YBG, Chris Bowman thanked all the stakeholders for their continued commitment to the event, noting it was particularly satisfying to have Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) on board despite the differences between the two bodies in the past.

GABF President Nigel Hinds said that the event can be a catalyst for development locally, while challenging the organization to use the tourney to bring the discipline back to forefront by filling the stands of the venue.

The long standing sponsors of the tourney are Digicel, the Beharry Group of Companies and Banks DIH Limited.
